My Students

Our students learn best with experiential, hands-on activities. They are future engineers, creatives, scientists, teachers, social workers and more! Our school is a 72% poverty school, which leads to many times students not having the skills, knowledge, resources or network they need to be successful.

My students many times lack access more than the skills, knowledge or experience they need to compete in today's world.

Our school is based on real-world learning, internships, and interest-based projects. Every student has an individual learning plan based on their strengths and challenges. Despite the challenges they face, these students are enthusiastic, positive, and want to learn.

My Project

Students will have an opportunity to create t-shirt designs using ADOBE software. The Cameo 3 Bundle will be used to create t-shirts, design and heat press them.

We will use the T-shirt making as a way to teach an 18-hour course to all of our 9th grade on creativity, problem-solving, creating opportunity, how to be resourceful, as well as presentation and public speaking skills.

Also, students will learn and use math and design skills through this curriculum.

These materials will make a difference in their learning design software. Also, give them an opportunity to learn presentation skills, problem-solving skills.
