This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

My students deserve a print-rich classroom where they feel comfortable reading and engaging with new, varied text. A lot of the books in our classroom are older, and not in the best condition. New books and seating that allows for students to no longer confine their learning to just their desk would be a game-changer for my kids!

Students in my class deserve the joy of new books and a classroom geared toward helping them achieve and strive for their goals!

The students here are used to classrooms that are uptight and rigid. I want to show them that reading and learning can not only be enjoyable but also comfortable.
