Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our 5th grade students all go to a Title I school that prides itself on making sure that all students know they can succeed. Even though the majority of the students are considered at-risk, we instill in them the belief that all students can accomplish their dreams with hard work and determination.
We also help them understand that obstacles are challenges they will conquer and overcome.
Our students are excited to learn, excited to understand, and excited to have fun!
My Project
I am looking for resources that will help my students understand science in a better way. Not all students learn the same way, so being able to provide various ways to understand the concept is beneficial for all.
Being able to have an interactive notebook will give my students a hands on approach to learning new concepts and skills.
This year, I learned that even though 5th grade students are older students, they still like to cut and paste. These interactive notebooks are great because it gives them a chance to be creative with their work and not just read and answer questions.
