Help me give my students supplies to add art and fun back into the classroom, googles to safely complete science experiments, a drawing pad for online learning, and organization supplies.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a large variety of 5th-grade students. Many of them are English language learners, some of them have physical and mental disabilities, some are exceptional but all of them deserve an excellent education.
My students work hard every day to overcome some of the challenging situations in their lives.
They are respectful, curious, and excited about learning. They have so much potential and grit.
I hope for all of my students to have a bright future and the ability to do and become whatever they choose. The foundational skills they learn in my classroom today will determine their future career, success, and happiness.
My Project
With all the online learning that has happened because of the pandemic, students and teachers have done their best to continue learning in a digital environment. However hands-on experiences such as art and science experiments have not been able to happen in the virtual classroom.
Help my students have meaningful hands-on learning experiences again.
These supplies will allow my students to do physical art projects, and science experiments. Learning is more impactful and lasting when students can actually see and touch the materials and experience phenomena first hand.
While school has returned to the physical classroom, outbreaks keep happening and pushing us back into virtual learning. It is difficult to show the steps in math problems or drawings to clarify concepts without the ability to freehand write or draw. The drawing pad will eliminate this issue and help my students to learn even when school does become remote.
