This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
And just like that, our March Madness Tournament of Picture Books is over! Throughout the month of March, our school went through a bracket of social emotional learning picture books and then each voted for their favorite.
"The Sour Grape" came out in 1st place and has helped my students learn to forgive, and that everyone makes mistakes.
As with last year, I would love to give my students their own copy of "The Sour Grape". My students had such wonderful conversations about making mistakes and being ok with it, forgiving friends, and how to bounce back from frustrating emotions because of this book. This would be such a great way to remember our class, and all the fun, positive memories that we created together this school year.
