Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

This project is to help students improve on their literacy skills.

It is known, that students at this level are now learning to read.

With the help of these various decodable readers, students will be given adequate practice to master the skill of reading.

The implementation of these beginning phonics readers will be done during small group activities. During this time students will be able to benefit most because their individual needs will be better met.

The required resources are to focus on building a foundation to ensure the students become fluent readers. Mastering this skill will make all students literate. Thus enabling them to better comprehend and be more engaged during the Reading Block.

We are aiming to make reading meaningful through the step-by-step process.
