This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Hola`! Ni-hao! Ciao! I teach ELL (English Language Learner) students from 12 different countries of varying English levels. We believe everyone can achieve the American dream. We want our students to feel confident that they can succeed and fulfill their hopes and dreams no matter where they come from and what kinds of challenges this new way of living is bringing to us.

Our school is a Title I school with many living at the poverty level.

The students love coming to school because it's a safe learning environment with a caring staff and support system. Most of the students in our class are Hispanic newcomers, with a few Asian, Middle Eastern, and Eastern European. With so many different cultures and languages in the classroom, we feel a sense of unity when the students get a chance to engage with technology. Even though there are so many differences going on, students of different cultures find the ability to communicate especially when technology is at the forefront.

We are fortunate enough to have a 6th grade STEM cohort this school year to raise levels of creativity, and scientific and mathematical thinking. These are the job skills that are in high demand.

My Project

When children see there efforts being recognized they will work toward that as a goal. To have the ability to laminate completed projects or even worksheets that can be used over and over again will make a big difference. And, they will be able to use Expo markers with them will make it an extra special activity.

It's going to be so nice to be able to laminate students work in real time and have them see it hung or or take home immediately.

The masks will be available for any child or staff member that needs to replace one or needs one that is more comfortable on their face. The refills for the 3Doolder Start pen will ensure we have enough supplies for each child to create STEM projects. I want to make this year as special and comfortable a possible, and with your help, it can happen.
