Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I work as Parent Coordinator at an inner-city school. Our children are wonderfully smart and creative but some suffer from trauma because of their environment. I am looking for a way to positively motivate them by letting them know how important they are not only to the community they live in but to our school.

Our students and staff are like family and we have a history of educating multiple children from the same family.

We want to continue this tradition and motivate them to do their best both in and out of school.

My Project

Our school is an older school and is in need of some updating. Our children come from homes where there is not always encouraging words to motivate them to do or be great. I am trying to look for a way to help to children feel their best at all times and everywhere they go in the school.

The Cricut Maker will be used to beautify the school with motivational phrases at every turn.

We will use it to put quotes of encouragement for the students in the hallways, bathrooms, cafeteria and wherever the student are to let them know how special they are and how much we care.
