Help us make our Maker Space!

My students are ready to learn in North Charleston, South Carolina!

We to want engage in STEM and Maker activities during library and after school! My students are eager to engage in Maker Space activities and get hands on learning experiences in the school library media center through KEVA and other brain-building, hands on, student centered products. We want to build, engineer and engage the students at our elementary school. Please help us achieve our goal!

My Project

Students will be able to have a first class Maker Space area in the school library media center. We have minimum "maker" activities and I want all of my students from grades Kindergarten to Fifth grade to have the opportunities to design, engineer and utilize their ideas when they visit the school library media center. The KEVA BOT maze would be ideal for 3rd-5th grade students to work collaboratively on designing challenges for two included robots. KEVA also enables them to research the different materials included in the kit and how these when added to the BOT affect the outcome of the race. The ZOOB Builder will let our youngest students get hands on Maker time! They will be able to design and build together. All of these materials will enable my students to make and create across grade levels and disciplines at HPES. Having quality products that will last for years to come will support a love of lifelong learning at HPES!
