it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing. They come to school prepared to learn and try their best to achieve our high expectations every day.
Our school is located in a low-income area with most students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Most of my Intervention students have limited resources outside of school, so school may provide their only chance to experience strategic and engaging academic activities. My goal, every year, is to create a learning environment that is warm, safe, and inviting while having high expectations for my Intervention students' success. Many of my students are reading at least one year below grade level. It is so important that my Intervention students attend school everyday to receive the extra help they need.
My Project
My goal for the upcoming school year is to increase attendance. One way to improve attendance is by eliminating the amount of germs that float around in our classroom. Germs and illness lead to many student absences and lot learning opportunities.
Students are coming to school with runny noses and colds; it's important to stop the spread of germs and keep our classroom a healthy place to learn.
Clorox wipes, computer wipes, aerosol spray, and an allergen reducing vacuum will help decontaminate and clean all of the surface areas in our classroom. Having sufficient Kleenex will enable students to be able to cover and wipe their noses without having to leave the classroom. Once we have created a clean and healthy atmosphere, it will lead to healthier students, improved attendance, and a better education!
