This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing. They come to school prepared to learn and try their best to achieve our high expectations every day.
Our school is located in a low-income area with most students receiving free or reduced-price lunch.
Most of my Intervention students have limited resources outside of school, so school may provide their only chance to experience strategic and engaging academic activities. My students are making good progress using a computerized Reading Intervention program. My goal, every year, is to create a learning environment that is warm, safe, and welcoming while maintaining a fun, creative learning atmosphere. It is important that Intervention students attend school everyday to receive the extra help they need.
My Project
My goal for the upcoming school year is to increase attendance. One way to improve attendance is by eliminating the amount of germs that float around in our classroom. Germs lead to many student absences and lost learning opportunities.
Students are coming into school with runny noses and colds, and its important to stop the spread of germs and keep our classroom healthy.
Clorox Wipes, computer wipes, aerosol spray will help decontaminate and clean all of our surface areas in our classroom. Having sufficient Kleenex will enable students to be able to cover and wipe their noses without having to leave the classroom. Once we have created a clean and healthy atmosphere, it will lead to healthier students, improved attendance, and a better education!
