My classroom exudes personality and eagerness to learn! We have 21 lively students that include a wide range of ability and interests. The majority of my students are from low income, single parent families. They often come to school without supplies, so I provide for them. I have found that this group of students require a lot of love and attention from me, which I am happy to give.
My top priority in my classroom is to make learning exciting and fun!
I use a variety of methods to reach each student need without them even realizing they are learning. From songs, dances, experiments, stretches, and real life experiences, we are able to retain skills and concepts with logical references.
In today's world of over scheduled, electronically driven young minds, kids need space to move, hands on activities, and visually pleasing stimulus in the classroom to hold their interest. I hope to provide my students with projects that can enhance their classroom and learning experience as if they were transformed into a space that motivates them.
Lights create a mood and our classroom needs uplifting! As an adult, bright generic LED lights are harsh on the eyes and the mind. I can only imagine how students must feel when they enter a classroom where the light is blinding! Pete the Cat light filters will enhance a comfortable learning mood for my students.
Flexible seating allows students movement and a cozier alternative to the standard hard bottom chair.
Students enjoy these wobble stools that allow motion and decreases emphasis on a typical classroom seating arrangement. More comfortable learners have more focus and less stress. It is my goal for students to feel at home in the classroom so learning can be second nature.
