This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Don't you hate it when your printer runs out of ink? What if you don't have any new ink cartridges available? My students have a brand new printer, but no ink cartridges to use when the printer runs out of ink.

My students are 68 extremely hard-working kids from the South Bronx.

They attend school for an extended day (7:25 am - 5 pm), an extended week (Monday-Saturday), and for an extended school year (school in July). Despite their long days, my students love coming to school and working hard! Their math skills are phenomenal and they are extremely dedicated to getting a great education.

My Project

Ink for the classroom printer is a necessity. With a working printer, my students can create colorful math manuals, brochures, menus and tons of resources that they can be used to relate abstract math concepts to the real-world. Instead of simply writing notes and solving computational math problems, my students will be able to use computers, research math topics on the internet, and create papers and documents that demonstrate their knowledge.

A printer without ink is useless.

A printer with the requested ink cartridges will allow my students to learn about math in a colorful and printable way. All of their computer created documents can be printed out, shared with the class, and displayed for all to see.
