Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our 6th grade consists of 75 students from diverse cultures and learning needs. Our learning community is unique because we come from very different backgrounds and educational experiences. We embody difficulties in learning, hard work, determination, and both physical and mental limitations. Although we are a considered a general education classroom, our community is built of learners with severe social and emotional backgrounds, physical limitations, and academic abilities.

Our classroom has a loving and accepting culture and embraces the positive that each individual brings with them every day.

We strive to celebrate each other, building on what we CAN do rather than what we cannot do.

Each day we learn, laugh, listen, love, and enlighten one another to be the best we can be each minute of every moment. We look to encourage each other, rather than discourage each other.

My Project

Using a divided binder, with the both lined and graph paper, students will be ahead of the game in 6th grade Math from the start.

With these materials, students will learn to take good notes, followed by examples, highlight important information, and be able to locate it quickly for reference and study guides.

And who doesn´t always need a pencil?

Having the proper tools from the beginning will foster a deeper connection with math. having sections designed for specific information will create better study habits for other classes and future education.
