My Project
I am a second-year mathematics teacher. During my first year, I learned how important it is to engage students visually. Posters, colored worksheets and handouts were monumental in helping students to remember and keep track of materials. However, our school does not have a color printer, so many of those documents required me to go a print center and order them in advance. It would be useful to have a classroom printer where these documents and additional copies can quickly be printed for my students.
Additionally, a color printer would allow my students to create and print documents that combine mathematics and art.
This year, we will work on projects that focus on using mathematics to create visual images and posters to decorate the classroom. Having instant access to a color printer will allow me to make copies of their work to display in the classroom and for them to showcase as well.
