This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In third grade at our school, we serve a variety of children who come from a variety of different backgrounds. I want to make the classroom time as enjoyable and enriching as I possibly can to help them become successful people in the future. My students deserve the best our education can offer them. I don't want them to be held back because of their situation or the financial needs of the district and state.
My Project
I am finishing up my first year teaching third grade after 6 years of teaching 2nd grade and I have reflected and learned how to get my students to achieve mastery in certain areas.
The games I am hoping to receive for my students would help them in math and reading skills that students must master to be successful in life.
Fractions, multiplication, and context clues are some of the most hard hit standards in third grade. These skills are ones that they will use for the rest of their lives. I want to make their learning enjoyable and social and these games can help me acheive that. Through the teachers pay teachers gift card I am hoping to find reading passages on the same topic to enhance my students vocabulary skills. The last thing I am hoping to get my students are the birthday badges. A child's birthday is so important to them and I want to be better in celebrating that important day for them.
