This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are an amazing group of students who, despite many life and socioeconomic challenges, persevere, and learn. I have a diverse group of students, many of whom are ESL and have special needs. This group of students comes together on their own time to create morning announcements videos.

The students in my class are eager to learn and have a unique drive for learning.

They question everything and ask thought-provoking questions.

One quality that really drives my students' learning is their charisma and energy that they bring to the room every day. The energy they bring keeps me charged up, and I truly love teaching this group of students.

My Project

We are seeking the funding to purchase some classroom supplies and a cricut machine in order to provide my students with enough supplies and incentives to complete their work. This year our school was hard hit with budget cuts. Our supply closet is not well stocked and these supplies will enable me to provide high quality instruction and catch up on learning loss. My classroom has been wanting to have a cricut machine in order to make rewards and incentives for the students such as laptop stickers and 3d award certificates. My goal is to build the intrinsic motivation for students and for them to want to succeed and grow.
