My Project

Learning how to prepare a meal for yourself or others not only increases self confidence and life skills for adulthood, it will also improve reading informational text strategies and mathmatics! Once a month we will have a 90 minute cooking class. The students will plan and prepare a meal for themselves and other groups at our school. The class will incorporate all content areas.

Students will have fun and learn new skills to support academics.

Students learn best when they are mentally and physically engaged in a project that has purpose. Cooking is a skill we need to make healthy choices and learn how to prepare meals as well!
