I am a Kindergarten Teacher at Albany Lower Elem. in Albany, LA. We are a Title 1 school Pre-K - 2 school with 530 students. Approximately 66% of our students receive free or reduced lunches. Our school was impacted by Hurricane Katrina and we have received several displaced students. I currently have 17 students in my classroom. I am requesting supplies for my classroom that will enhance the students learning. I am requesting both supplies for the students to use individually and as a class in centers. We have an art center but are in need of replenishing the paint and paper supply. Students love the freedom of this center to express their ideas. There are also stamps that we could use to learn letters and letter sounds. I am also requesting a classroom supply of crayons, washable markers, scissors and glue. With the impact of the hurricane many can not afford the extra expense of replenishing these supplies. Thank you so much for your help and support!
