My Students

My students are a diverse, eager to learn group from a rural, low-income area. Middle school students are changing physically and emotionally during these teen years, and I strive to provide a safe, comfortable, and engaging space for them to grow and learn. My students enjoy projects where they can work cooperatively and display their understanding of concepts in a unique way.

With the increased reliance of technology, students crave innovative ways to learn in the classroom.

With converting STEM to STEAM, you include the arts to allow for a creative and outside of the box application of the language arts skills that are being taught.

My Project

This Apple iPad will enable students to use the The #1 Green Screen app for the iPad in Education. The Green Screen App was the 2019 Winner of the Best Apps for Teaching and Learning by the AASL (American Association of School Librarians).

Students will use the app to meet numerous language arts needs and standards.

The students will receive hands-on training to use this technology in order to create meaningful projects that create a lasting impression. Language Arts is typically not a favorite subject, but I would like to change that and keep students creating memories with unconventional learning projects.
