Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a first grade teacher in Bronx New York with 22 students who are in need of extra practice to help them advance.
The students need to be on grade level with their reading, writing and phonics skills. Each day I have the task of constantly reteaching a topic in order to reinforce what was already taught. After I reteach on a daily basis I have to revisit each topic weekly and monthly.
I am in need of a laminating machine because i have to create manipulative and center materials to reinforce students learning. Materials that are made from just papers are destroyed by the students because they are only 5 and 6 year old.
Please I am asking for this material to help with the students learning and to get them ready for the next grade. There is nothing more difficult than a student who is not on grade level with reading, writing, phonics and mathematics.
