Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a STEM educator and research mentor, I work with curious, driven, and passionate students who are eager to explore hands-on science and engineering. Many of my students come from underrepresented communities in STEM and attend a Title I school, where access to advanced laboratory tools is often limited.
Despite these challenges, my students have excelled in scientific research and STEM competitions, applying their knowledge to tackle real-world problems.
They are future scientists, engineers, and innovators—they just need the right tools to bring their ideas to life.
My Project
I am requesting an electronic analytical scale to help my students improve the accuracy of their scientific measurements. Whether they are:
Developing biosensors to detect contaminants,
Testing biodegradable materials,
Conducting chemical analyses,
Measuring microbial growth,
…precision is essential! A high-quality analytical scale will provide accurate, reliable data, helping students refine their experiments and make evidence-based conclusions.
What Makes My Students Special?
My students dream big despite the barriers they face. Many are first-generation college hopefuls, balancing their studies with family responsibilities. They are not just learners—they are problem solvers, innovators, and leaders who use STEM to make a difference in their communities.
Their enthusiasm for scientific inquiry is unstoppable. By supporting this project, you are giving them equal access to high-quality STEM education and the tools they need to turn their ideas into discoveries.
Thank you for helping my students Make It Accurate!
