My Students

Our public elementary school serves about 400 students from Pre-K through 5th grade and is committed to developing and delivering a well-rounded educational program for all students. We believe this includes rigorous academics, varied co-curricular programs, and an effective partnership between home and school.

My Project

This weather station will be placed at a public elementary school and utilized by all of the students who attend it. Families of students will also be able to access the weather station using a phone app.

This is a perfect opportunity for our students to learn about the science of weather!

Here in northern Colorado, our weather is constantly changing- we can have 2 feet of snowfall one day, and the weather turns to 60 degrees and sunny the next. What causes the extremes in our weather? Can we predict the weather by tracking wind, temperature, barometric pressure, and humidity? Should we wear shorts or snow boots tomorrow?!

Our school would have an amazing Bluebird day if someone funded this awesome weather station for our school!
