This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I have a group of very motivated and intelligent students. Each day as new math facts are introduced to them, they are so responsible and hardworking that they study those facts and are ready for class the next day. My students and I have a great rapport and a wonderful classroom community. They treat each other and me with respect and it very rewarding to see them accomplish new math goals and reach new levels of knowledge in my class.
My Project
With these different materials, students will be able to not only graph math problems, they will be able to create visual and more interesting pieces of work. They will be able to show their math work and also show their artistic ability. These items will ensure that my students have what they need in order to succeed in my math class. Graphing is such a large part of what we are doing right now, and I have noticed that many of my students do not have the necessary materials to do this! I know that they will be able to succeed with your help! Graphing is a big part of Algebra I curriculum. So I do matching the graphs with the equations and graphing the equations& coloring activities mostly. To do this type of activities my students needs scissors, glues, graph papers and colored pencils.
