A digital and print subscription to Scholastic News will make a difference in my students learning by making ELA more engaging and exciting for them. They will be able to read and watch videos about current events that are relatable to them, as well as events that have taken place in the past.
My goal for this project is that I can make my ELA lessons more accessible to my students by offering accommodations for my students who are learning English, read on a lower grade level, or find it difficult to stay engaged in a traditional ELA lesson.
My students are special because they have come to me with all different cultural backgrounds, interests, and talents. I want to use their diversity to the advantage of our learning and emphasize their strengths while improving upon their weaknesses in reading and writing.
