My Students
As a teacher in a low-income/high poverty school district, my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the many challenges they face, I am looking to provide my students with creative and meaningful learning experiences.
My students eyes light up with excitment when they see a colorful and well decorated classroom.
These students come to school at a disadvantage daily that prevent them from getting ahead early in life. They are not provided with the life experiences many of us see as "typical". From the minute they walk in the door of my classroom, I focus on their potential and growth while they are with me. I may not be able to control their home lives; however, I can certainly control their experience during the school day. By doing this in a creative and positive way, I am hopeful to inspire even our earliest learners by being estatic about coming to school daily.
My Project
My students are eager kindergartner that come to school day ready to be stimulated in the best way possible, each looking for things and visuals that spark their learning interest. These colorful decorations and labels will make it possible to give my students all colorful stimulation that ignites creative learning just a few seconds. They will also help my students be more enthusiastic about learning. Organization and creativity is essential for students to be successful. These organizational labels will help my students to get their supplies faster and make clean up time more efficient, allowing them to spend more of their class time working on their tasks. It will make they classroom a more inviting place to learn with the colorful decor throughout the room.

My school budget has been drastically cut in the past year. Without the help of generous donors, we can not afford even the most basic supplies. Please help me to get my students the supplies and room decor they need to have a successful school year.
