My Students

I challenged the students the first day of school to make a vision statement for our classroom this year (as I do with each group of new students). I asked them how they wanted our classroom to look, sound, and feel. This year I heard a word that I hadn’t heard before. These students decided together they wanted their classroom to feel “comfy.” I was very inspired by this word and went fast at work to give them a comfortable classroom with flexible seating. They are a kind, insightful, and lively bunch and I truly enjoy spending my days with them!

My Project

Flexible seating offers a comfortable and collaborative mood in a classroom. These wobble stools will complete our flexible seating classroom, helping my students stay focused, calm, and productive. The wobble stools will help to keep their muscles warm and flexible in order to keep their minds moving! I am a strong believer in giving students an inviting and comfortable work space because I personally work best when I feel invited and comfortable. I hope to help my students become healthy learners and citizens and I believe these stools will help get them there. Thank you in advance for your contribution to our class!
