This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. They work hard, they take challenging classes, and they are determined. Many of them work after school to help out their family, or are involved in sports and extra curricular.

They put a lot of effort into class projects, labs, and experiments.

They make anyone's day brighter.

My Project

I teach Honors Human Physiology. This year, a few teachers and I started a project called the CarBurVen Capstone, which incorporates students from AP Statistics and AP Psychology, along with my Physiology students. Students need this book to access sample Psychology experiments, which they will recreate and analyze using the information they have learned in each of their classes. Unfortunately, this year we did not have enough books, and students had to share or wait for other groups to be finished.

This cross-curricular project allows students to conduct a real research project, analyze the data, and report their conclusions.

It truly brings out the scientist in each of these students!
