This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

When my students are upset it can be challenging to calm down. They often struggle to find the words to explain their feelings. Having a safe space to do so can be what makes the difference.

Calming down is hard but being comfortable can help!

When overwhelmed or frustrated it is great to have a safe space to land. When my students are in a ball upset or so angry the want to let it out; having somewhere to go can change their day for the better. I want the to have all the things they will allow them to deescalate, feel safe and be able to regroup.
