My Project

Our Elementary is constantly striving to bring students up to proficient in the ELA skills. This year is my first year running the library and I want to do all I can to help students comprehend and be able to expand on what they read.

Upper elementary students will be using this stop motion equipment to continue the stories we read together, present the stories they read themselves, and, most importantly, write their own stories!

I have also included some STEM equipment that the younger students can use to do the same thing at their own level.

I know that if we can use hands-on activities to get students to connect better to the concepts they are reading we will see an increase in test scores and, of course, an increase in the love of reading!!
