This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Making books in preschool is a valuable activity that fosters creativity, literacy, and fine motor skills. It allows children to explore storytelling, develop their writing skills, and build confidence as authors.

Bookmaking provides a hands-on approach to learning about the elements of a book, such as pages, covers, and the relationship between pictures and text.

Children will develop writing skills through drawing and dictating stories, which lays the foundation for future writing. Making books encourages literacy, boosts confidence, promotes creativity and enhance fine motor skills. Seeing their work transformed into a book empowers children and builds their self-esteem as writers and creators. Children will become more comfortable with books and recognizing their structure.
