Help me give my students a flexible seating option. Some students need to stand during class. This would give them that option while still being able to have books and other materials in front of them.
My students are ten and eleven-year-olds with a variety of backgrounds, but all are eager to be loved, to please, and to learn. We are in an area with changing demographics so students are exposed to a variety of situations at school, home, and in our area.
These children are figuring out how to manage and stay organized in a fast-paced environment where they have responsibilities.
They are each unique and are figuring out how best to fit in and thrive in an ever-changing world.
My Project
I would like to give my students more flexible seating options. Right now I offer students the opportunity to stand and listen if they need to move during lessons, but this project would allow a student to stand and still have books, paper, and pencil in front of them.
I would like to purchase a standing desk in order to provide students the option to stand and work while having their materials in front of them.
This mobile, height-adjustable desk provides flexible workspace options, promotes collaboration and boosts physical wellness by getting kids up and moving!
We always need to be aware of each of our students' unique needs and a standing desk would be a great addition to our classroom.
