Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My school's third-graders are comprised of 24 extraordinary students who are eager to learn and love to explore new ideas from different disciplines. Most of them are of Hispanic and African American descent and are classified as low-income-status families. Over 93% of them qualify or receive free lunch. These third graders are always eager to learn, and they love learning things with hands-on experience in a positive learning environment.
Providing students with backpack hangers and desk organizers, students will be able to focus better in an organized, clutter-free classroom, which will increase the space for the students to grow as a scholar.
Furthermore, students will be able to access more books on the added bookshelves, which will enhance students reading fluency.
Students love to touch, see, and feel what they are learning about while they absorb the knowledge coming from their explorations taking place in the organized classroom. My students will appreciate extra space for learning and extra access to books for them to increase their knowledge in a positive learning environment.
