Help me give my students some basic sound equipment for chorus performances. We are in need of a mixer, floor monitor, and a pair of extra microphones.
When I took over the Chorus Director position at my school, a lot of the previous materials we realized were no longer up to date, the were broken, or no longer compatible with the bits and bobs we have in storage. Most of our sound equipment is loaned to us each performance making it difficult to practice with since we only have it for a short time. I am hoping to get a floor monitor, a sound mixer, and a pair of microphones for the chorus with this project. Additionally, we hope to eventually get some speakers and wireless microphones, but that's another project! For now, these basics can help us create a joyful noise!
Help to give my chorus students (and the whole school, really) some new sound equipment.
This will help begin building what our elementary needs in order to create amazing performances every year, for years to come. Chorus, drama, and music students will be able to use this equipment any time there is need for it to display and perform for our school and their families. A floor monitor is needed so performers can hear the music as they are singing, a sound mixer is needed so that what little amounts of equipment we do have can be used for our rehearsals and performances, and the choral microphones will help to amplify our students' voices as they sing!
Every student will be blessed if this project is funded! Music helps with academics, creativity, and expression. Even students not in chorus or using this equipment for performances will be impacted with this project for our school. All students get to watch each performance and engage with the performers on stage.
