My students are 5 and 6 year old boys and girls who are eager and enthusiastic about learning. I would like to provide them with technology that can make learning exciting and visually accessible to all my students.
My students are 21 kindergarteners who enjoy school.
They are being raised in an environment that is engrossed and dependent on technology . Our school just became an affiliated charter school and we have been able to purchase laptop computers and projectors. We are a school that does not receive any Title 1 funds so there is hardly any funds left for extra materials. Having a document camera will complete our technology package. My students need to have the educational opportunities that technology tools can bring to a classroom and enhance learning.
My Project
My students would benefit from a document camera because it would amplify the images of teacher materials and improve upon the methods used to teach all subjects. With a document camera's ability to magnify words and pictures students will be able to see pictures more vividly , follow the text and read along, and increase a students vocabulary. A document camera can provide an increased visual understanding of Math concepts. The materials that are used for counting, adding,subtracting,comparing sets, learning about shapes and patterns, and graphing can be easier to see as their image is projected and magnified onto the whiteboard. In all subject areas student workbooks can be magnified with a document camera; thus all students can simultaneously keep up with classwork and successfully complete their work. A document camera will also improve the way students can share their own work visually and orally with the entire class.
My students need a document camera because it is a visual aid that enlarges images and allows the whole class to clearly see images at the same time.
A document camera will enhance my students motivation and ability to stay engaged in lessons and improve their academic success.
