Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a very unique area in Texas. My 4th grade students are hard working individuals that deserve the resources that will lead them to success.
Some of my students don't have much and don't come from much.
My students are bright, diligent, and are capable of so much. It excites me to see them in the classroom, engaged and learning. I believe in my students. I believe they can succeed. They can, also, succeed with your help and support.
My Project
My students use academic tablets as a resource to help them in their digital assignments. The tablets are currently in a plastic tub container, that doesn't allow efficient learning time. Although it's manageable, my students would benefit from having a charging station where they can have an easily accessible station to put their tablets on. Also, my students benefit from using dry erase lap boards and Expo markers. My students love them! Not only do they produce active engagement, but they also save paper. They are great in whole group instruction, small groups, and centers. I plan to have my students use the dry erase boards for many activities in the classroom.
