My students need math center materials, including a counting game, a learning center and 2 word problem centers, to make math time more productive and enjoyable.
"It's fun to have fun, but you have to know how." ~Dr. Seuss. My magnificent mathematicians love to participate in math leaning centers. We are in need of additional resources to make the most of our learning time.
My nineteen eager kindergarteners display their love for learning daily.
My students come from many different backgrounds. Our school is a diverse community of learners. Students come from different areas of the city. Classes are ethnically, economically, and academically diverse. Despite their differences students share a common enthusiasm to learn and participate during math time and reach their individual potential.
My Project
The math materials I am requesting will help me better implement math centers in our classroom. My students are so eager and ready to learn, your contribution will help their learning be even more enjoyable. Math centers allow for an increased amount of differentiated instruction.
The peanut game will help my students practice both number recognition and counting. Students will be able to practice addition and subtraction number stories utilizing fun math counters. In the button sorting center students will be able to practice sorting materials by size, color, and shape. The Common Core State Standards have been implemented in our district, the box of Common Core materials will help students practice many of the standards. The math center materials will allow students to work on skills they need to succeed.
Your donation will help me instill a love of learning for my kindergarten students.
It will help me in implementing fun yet educational learning centers. Your donation will help my students sharpen their skills, focus for longer periods of time, and enjoy learning math.
