My Students
My students LOVE SCHOOL! They come in active and excited each day, hoping we are doing something that requires them to think outside the box. Working together, my PreK-8th-grade students solve real-world problems that help create stronger thinkers and independent learners.
I couldn't be prouder of my classes and the way they treat each other like one big, slightly silly, a family of engineers, mathematicians, and scientists.
They are curious and creative and they truly love exploring new ideas and concepts using STEM. My students are a truly remarkable group and I am so lucky to be their teacher!
My Project
In class, my students and I are exploring solutions to real world problems by creating hands-on models of our ideas and solutions. We bring in many of the supplies ourselves for each project but try to have some of the basics in the classroom. This project contains the basic MakerSpace supplies of duct tape, modeling clay, and pencils, all of which are used and reused daily.
We are grateful and thankful for this donation as it will support our project to create specially designed shoes for students, which is our next challenge! We are interviewing younger students, then using the engineering design process to create individualized footwear!
