My students have loving hearts and a deep desire to succeed in school! They don't have many home resources since most of my students live in poverty and don’t have households with consistent living situations (transient housing, group homes, or multi-family or multi-generational housing). Also, a majority of my students are English language learners &/or have special education &/or health needs that require extra support.
My students need a comfortable, safe classroom environment where they can develop into s learners, leaders and innovators.
They need to be free to creatively express themselves.
The classroom is where my students go to feel comfortable, safe, and to be given the opportunity to learn, grow, and explore without judgment. They need to have equitable learning opportunities to learn in ways that meet their needs.
Having a comfortable, safe and equitable learning environment also affords my students’ families the opportunity to visit, approach me (the teacher), and participate in their child's education. I want my students and their families to want to be involved in education and know they are welcome and supported. I love my students, their families, and my community. I can't wait to see their positive impact on the world!
My students would benefit from having a cubby storage unit to serve as a "Maker Station" to house materials they'll use during S.T.E.A.M. projects and creative learning opportunities.
They'll LOVE having a place to get materials to use to express themselves as learners, leaders, and innovators.
They enjoy being creative, thinking about new ways to demonstrate their learning, and are excited to express their individuality. Having materials readily available in an organized storage unit will assist them in more easily being able to complete S.T.E.A.M. projects and other learning activities.
Please consider donating to my classroom so my students will have this amazing station and even more amazing opportunity to be creative in their learning.
