Magnificent Magnets

My Project

One of the STEM units I am teaching next year involves 2D and 3D shapes. Magnetic tiles are a great way to help teach these concepts in a hands-on engaging way. My students are fascinated by magnets and love building structures with these tiles.

We are adding literacy to this unit by including lettered magnetic tiles.

Students can use them mixed with the basic set to build their names and other words in 2D and 3D. We can even make stop motion movies of the building of them to add more creativity to our unit. My students love presenting their work in this format.
