My Project

In the classroom there are lots of opportunities to learn. The more hands on my students can be, the better. I would like to incorporate a magnetic white board into my room.

Having a magnetic white board in my room would allow multiple students to spell words using magnets, write on the board in a horizontal position, and work on their fine motor skills.

I want my students to be excited about learning, and this tool would allow them another way to work in the classroom. Students who struggle with fine motor are encouraged to write on a horizontal board by our occupational therapist. Working on the magnetic board also encourages fine motor manipulation using the fingers which is a skill that needs improvement in Kindergarten.
