Help me give my students magnetic letters so they can work in small groups to build words. Students need hands on activities that allow them to manipulate and build words.
My students are energetic 7 and 8 year olds that are excited about learning. They love to read, write, and research to learn about topics that interest them. They strive to learn and try new things everyday!
They are very capable when it comes to areas of technology and project based learning.
My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions! They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions! They come to school each day eager to learn something new.
We use a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met. Our school is community minded and we work together with students, parents, and families to make sure our students achieve success. It is an honor to work with such a caring and thoughtful school and community.
My Project
Students love the opportunity to participate in hands on learning activities. Magnetic letters will allow students to build words and to see and feel the shapes of the letters and how they are formed.
Our class currently only has one set of letters and this does not allow all students an opportunity to build words.
With more sets of letters, the whole class will be able to participate. Students will enjoy multiple activities that will allow them to increase their vocabulary and reading ability. This will also contribute to each students ability to be a better writer and will cross over into all subject areas.
