This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a class full of kindergarten students who are filled with curiosity and longing to learn. It is amazing to know that these little minds are just waiting to explore and learn. Although most come knowing very little alphabet letters, numbers and struggle with the English language this will not stop them from achieving their goal of reading and writing. I want to help be a part of this learning and am in need of help doing so.

My Project

The little learners in my class are in need of magnetic letters to practice our steps in learning to read and write. The first step on how we will use our magnetic letters is by identifying letters and matching capital to lowercase letters. Once our letters are learned, we will start to build Consonant-Vowel-Consonant words like cat, dog, pig., (etc…). Once mastering this step comes the extra fun part of putting sentences together with magnetic letters! My vision for my students is to help them be a part of their learning. Having them perform hands-on activities is how students in Kindergarten thrive. Please help my little learners to have an opportunity to practice these crucial steps in reading and writing. Thank you in advance!
