My Students
Our Norfolk, Virginia Pre-K students are amazing and resilient! We are located in a dedicated military town. All students have risk factors that qualify them for our program. I see the sparkle in their eyes when they login to the computer. Distance teaching is challenging, but with hands-on materials, we can help them thrive!
My Project
Our Pre-K students are learning virtually at this time. To create the best experience for them, they need hands-on materials. We will use magnetic letters to play letter identification games, write our names, match uppercase to lowercase letters, and learn how to create beginning, middle, and ending sounds in words.
Using magnetic letters daily can help young children in Pre-K begin to internalize the shape and feel of the letters.
This internalization builds alphabet fluency, which is a predictor of future reading success. Please help put magnetic letters into the hands of our youngest students for alphabet sensory play.
