My Students

Our 7th grade science students came to school this year, bursting with enthusiasm and excitement to learn and discover new things about science and the world around them. Approximately half of our students are bilingual, with about one quarter being ESL learners. They enjoy reading about science and learning how it relates to their everyday lives.

Our students are creative, curious and excited about Science!

In our classes, we emphasize hands-on labs and project-based learning to allow the students to explore concepts and connect science topics to the real world.

My Project

Our students will better understand the physics behind magnetic forces using magnets that have properly labeled north/south poles, iron filings with proper cases, and a classroom compass set. Both students and teacher will benefit from being able to use new pencil sharpeners, colored markers, and pens to create visual aids for themselves and for the classroom.

Our science classroom needs new materials for our project-based unit on magnetism as well as incentives for our positive behavior reinforcement program, which fosters healthy social-emotional learning.

The students can participate in hands-on learning opportunities with the help of these supplies.
