Magnetic Creations

My Students

My students are ages 3-5 with various special needs. They thrive in a learning space that has various types of toys, reading materials, and basic school supplies that will help everyday learning. My students come from low-income homes and do not always have a comfortable place to go home to, receive the supports needed, or cannot afford resources to help with learning.

My Project

Our children are very creative and curious with many Science materials. I want to provide them more opportunities to use their creativeness and have fun while doing it. In my classroom, the children will be able to create their own path using the magnetic system. The will use problem solving skills to create a path where the ball will not fall out until it reaches the bottom. I will be able to demonstrate the properties of magnets through remote learning as well.

The Stand Up Magnet Center and Create A Path Magnet activity will provide the children many options for learning.

The center will help them with their problem solving and engineering skills. It will also provide endless hours of fun and team building with their friends.
