Magnetic Blocks Build Imaginations in my Kindergarten Class!

My students need Magnetic Tiles and Magnetic Design Shapes and Pattern Blocks. For the last three years we have been sharing the Pre-Kindergarten classes magnetic blocks and my class would love to have their own.

My Students

Our charter school is a small, rural school with 100 students. We are in rural Minnesota and our most of my students come from towns around the area. I love my students and the excitement they show for learning and school. I want to give them the chance to use their imaginations while learning.

My classroom will be a place of discovery.

My students will have hands-on activities, one-on-one learning, and problem solving. It will be a safe learning environment where children will want to come and explore the world of reading, math, and science. They will be able to have STEM activities in the classroom to use when they are done with their schoolwork.

My Project

My students attend a 30 minute STEM class twice a week for 30 minutes. This never seems to be enough time. As soon as they get a project started they have to take it down so the next class can begin. I would like to have some Magnetic Tiles, and Design Shapes and Pattern Blocks in the classroom so that when they are done with their work they can use these items to build.

I want to instill in them a love for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math so that they will have a life-long journey of STEM learning and exploring.

For the last three years my Kindergarten class has been sharing the Pre-Kindergarten's magnetic blocks. They love to use them and ask to use them daily. I would like to get a set for our classroom so that they can use them in their free time. By using different Magnetic Tiles and Magnetic Design Shapes and Pattern Blocks, I want to ignite the love for exploration and building in the classroom. I want to nurture creativity and imagination while learning to work together, build, and use their problem solving skills if it doesn't work the first time.
