Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Many children with special disabilities are drawn to activities with visually appealing pieces they can manipulate. Magnetic play sets and visuals are popular activities for kids with sensory issues and make terrific tools for teaching children with special needs. Magnet tablets also encourage interactive play. Children often get excited to work together to build creative magnet drawings that often lead to imaginative play. For younger children these colorful, magnetic tiles can help with learning about colors and sorting, as well as recognizing shapes and sizes. We can also use magnet play to help children increase their language skills by teaching them new magnet-related words, names, and shapes.
