This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I would love to get all my students to be involved when I'm asking a question or doing a lesson. Having the magnadoodles will allow all students to show me their answer.

My school is a small, Title I school where a lot of my students qualify for the reduced price or free lunch program.

Many students come from diverse cultural backgrounds. Most are English language learners, speaking English as their second language. My Kindergarten and Transitional Kindergarten students come to school eager to learn each day.

My Project

My students will use the magnadoodles in many different areas of learning. They will be used in learning to write letters, words, numbers, shapes, and sharing their ideas. They will also be used to write spelling words as well as phonics patterns and sight words during center time. This resource will be of high interest and very engaging to students. These will be very useful during whole group lessons, having enough materials for all students to use at the same time. Instead of just telling the teacher what the answer is, my students will be able to show me their learning.

This project will benefit my students by providing them chances to improve their manuscript writing in an engaging way, interact with the teacher in a meaningful way, help my students to experience success in becoming a fluent reader, and thus be ready for the next grade!
