This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My kindergarten students are full of joy, excitement, and an eagerness for learning. I have so much fun teaching and learning with them. Our school is 92% economically disadvantaged and 79% English Learners. My class is a diverse mix of students, including English Learners, students receiving special education services, gifted and talented students, and students from around the world.

My students have unique personalities, but they're all very sweet and caring toward others.

Thank you in advance for helping me provide the best educational experience for my very deserving students.

My Project

My students love learning with Magna-Tiles, not only during our learning center time but also during indoor recess. These magnetic shapes allow my students to use their imagination to build a world of their own. I can almost see their neurons expanding as they play/work/learn. This opportunity for creative thinking requires students to use STEM topics, such as science and geometry, to build workable structures with strong foundations. During our learning center time, I am able to work with small reading groups. The Magna-Tiles keep students engaged with fun, collaborative problem-solving.

Through the use of Magnatiles, my students are able to receive a hands-on, creative approach to learning.
